1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Technical Supervision of Steel Structure Installation

  • Review shop drawings, method statements, and erection schedules; coordinate with QA/QC and construction teams to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Supervise steel structure erection: alignment, elevation, verticality/deflection, bolted connections, base plates, bracing systems, and purlins; ensure compliance with tolerances and installation sequences.
  • Supervise lifting, hoisting, and working-at-height activities; control site conditions, wind factors, lifting equipment, rigging, and restricted zones.
  • Coordinate inspection and supervision of welding works (if applicable): procedures, materials, surface conditions, weld dimensions; record and manage non-conformities (NCR/CAR) where applicable.

B. HSE Supervision (Working at Height > 40m)

  • Implement and monitor compliance with safety measures: work-at-height, PPE, lifeline systems, scaffolding, MEWP, hot work, lifting plans, LOTO (where applicable).
  • Conduct toolbox talks; enforce safety awareness; stop unsafe work when necessary; coordinate with HSE to document incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Supervise lifting zones and traffic control; ensure no conflicts with other works (MEP/Solar/finishing) that may cause safety risks.

C. Quality Control & Acceptance

  • Inspect incoming materials: material certificates/CO-CQ (if applicable), surface conditions, coating/galvanization, bolts, and accessories.
  • Prepare and review inspection and acceptance documentation: site logs, internal/client/consultant inspection reports, checklists, and site photos.
  • Coordinate defect rectification and rework; ensure handover quantities meet required quality standards and project schedule.

D. Schedule Management & Multi-Party Coordination

  • Monitor erection progress by zones/lines; update daily reports and identify bottlenecks (equipment, manpower, site conditions, weather).
  • Coordinate with Solar/EPC, MEP, Civil teams, and subcontractors to optimize construction sequence and ensure safety.
  • Propose technical solutions and construction methods to reduce risks and improve productivity.

E. Reporting & Site Discipline

  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on progress, quality, safety, accepted quantities, and site issues.
  • Record technical/safety violations; require immediate corrective actions and track closure.
  • Ensure compliance with site regulations, TSS internal procedures, and client requirements.

3. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Industrial & Civil), Structural Engineering, Construction Mechanics, or related fields.
  • 5–7 years of experience as Site Supervisor/Construction Manager for steel structures in industrial projects with a scale of ≥ 60,000 m².
  • Strong knowledge of industrial steel structures, construction standards, inspection & acceptance procedures, design drawings, and shop drawings.
  • Solid background in fabrication, erection, and reinforcement of steel structures; experience in retrofit/upgrade projects is an advantage.
  • Ability to read drawings, review technical documents, identify on-site discrepancies, and coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office; knowledge of engineering or scheduling software is an advantage.
  • High sense of responsibility, strong site presence, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to travel as required by projects.
