Tona Syntegra Solar (TSS) is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with Hung Duy Group — a landmark collaboration aimed at advancing sustainable and decarbonized energy solutions for the starch manufacturing industry in Vietnam.
On November 22, 2025, TSS and Hung Duy Group successfully organized a Strategic Signing Ceremony, officially kicking off a green energy transition project. This initiative involves the implementation of advanced solar energy systems across Hung Duy’s network of tapioca starch factories.
This partnership underscores Hung Duy’s pioneering role in the industry since 1969. With over 55 years of expertise and a combined production capacity of 1,600 tons per day, Hung Duy has been a major contributor to a sector whose export value surpassed US$1 billion in the first 10 months of 2025 alone. By integrating solar power alongside their existing biogas and energy-efficient production methods, Hung Duy is setting a new benchmark for ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices in Vietnamese agriculture.

As a joint venture between Vietnam’s Tona Corp and Germany’s Syntegra Solar AG, TSS brings world-class photovoltaic expertise to this partnership. With a portfolio spanning eight countries and successful installations for global leaders such as BOSCH, SEW-Eurodrive, CICOR, WANEK, and Central Retail, TSS provides:
End-to-End Solutions: From bespoke system design and precision installation to long-term operations (O&M).
International Standards: Ensuring the highest levels of quality, safety, and energy yield for Hung Duy’s industrial facilities.

This green transition is designed to deliver substantial, measurable benefits for Hung Duy Group:
Cost Efficiency: Reducing energy expenses by 20–40%.
Carbon Reduction: Cutting thousands of tons of $CO_2$ emissions annually, aligning with Vietnam’s Net Zero 2050 objectives.
Global Competitiveness: Ensuring compliance with the EU’s CBAM regulations starting in 2026.
Market Access: Enhancing export potential to regions with stringent environmental standards, including the EU, US, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
Together, Tona Syntegra Solar and Hung Duy Group are accelerating Vietnam’s green industrial transition, ensuring that the starch manufacturing sector remains a sustainable and competitive powerhouse on the global stage.
